Neurological Rehabilitation
Treatment for Neurological Injuries or Illnesses
Neurological rehabilitation involves injuries, disease, and problems related to the central nervous system. In physical therapy, we work to achieve maximal, independent level of function through strengthening, range of motion, coordination and balance training as well as functional activities.
ATM2
Active Therapeutic Movements (ATM®s) provide immediate and long-lasting benefits to many back, neck, shoulder, pelvis, hip, and knee sufferers. By definition ATMs consist of a few active neuromuscular movements superimposed upon a specific passive holding. ATMs aim to immediately alter symptoms, by affecting the Central Nervous System (CNS) control. The ATM2 is a clinical tool designed to enable effective user operated ATMs. At the Palm Beach Institute of Sports Medicine we have had great success with this tool. It has and will continue to be a mainstay of our rehabilitation for spinal conditions as well as many other conditions. Learn more about the ATM2 at the Back Project Website.
